Well now that it’s finally getting warm out and majority of us here on the east coast are finished hibernating, it’s time for everyone to get back into the swing of things. So if you’re in the tri-state area and drifting happens to be what you’re looking for, Club Loose has you covered with a bunch of events lined up for this season. I’ve attended two so far and between watching the A class drivers tear up the entire track or the B and C class guys pushing their cars and skills to the limit, I can honestly say it’s never a bad time.
The future events seem very promising with the the number of spectators and drivers continuing to grow each time. There’s always those few die-hard drifters that never fail to show up to every event they can and that kind of passion is what I love about this sport.

I few of these Behind the Smoke Episodes have come out recently and unfortunately I’ve been lagging and reglected to post them, so I apologize for that. Luckily though I’ve been getting on top of things and here are is the latest episode!

Legends of Motorsport | 1966 Le Mans 24 Hrs
In lieu of Carroll Shelby’s unfortunate recent death, this video is a good watch. Although this video isn’t specifically about Shelby, there are parts in which he comments on the race. In fact, this video is about the race in which Ford beat Ferrari in the 24hr Le Mans of 1966. If you’re not familiar with the epic Ferrari vs. Ford tale, then this is an excellent video to bring you up to speed. The footage itself also gives a great insight into the glory days of racing, with all of the vintage footage, it really gets me feeling nostalgic. I can’t help to wonder what it would be like to be at race like that.
