XDC x HIN Phoenix 2012

A couple weeks ago I went up to Phoenix for my first real drift event (Aww!) and I had an awesome time! This year’s XDC at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix was a great event, they combined it with HIN to give us plenty to do between all the drifting that was going on. There was no shortage of things to look at and do at the event!

Seeing as I’m a terrible writer, I’ll let the photos do most of the talking from here on out.

You might recognize this RX-7 from an earlier post about the Pavilions meet in Scottsdale.

George Marstonovic’s RX7 in the paddock being prepped for the next round.

I love a clean RX7 and this one definitely fits the bill.

Parachutes are very serious business.

Asia, America and Europe. A little bit of everything.

Not your sisters Corolla… I bet you’ve never seen one like this before. Much respect to John Norman for such a cool and unique build. Can you guess the rear camber specs?

It was nice to see some clean Euro business amongst all the imports.

As the sun started to set, the drifting began.

Nate Hamilton doing what he does best!

The alien helps for when you need maximum drifting angle. Non Stop Tuning AE86!

I loved seeing this Miata flying around getting super sideways!

Another one of my favorites, this car just looked so raw without its front bumper. Check out the amount of steering angle!

Getting real close!

As it got dark it was time for me to head home. I didn’t get to see the end of the event but here are the results!

1. Forrest Wang
2. Stewart Laesk
3. Danny George

I hope you enjoyed my coverage of XDC this year!

Big shoutout to XDC and Firebird Raceway for the Media Access for Carsxhype!
