Carheads Against Cancer! Presented by CarsxHype.com
It is officially here! We are having our second annual meet this October at Umigos in Livermore. This meet is going to be a fundraiser to help raise money & awareness for our friend Terry who was recently diagnosed with Cancer. If you haven’t already read the story check it out here. Make sure to come out for a day of cars, gokarts, and to support a good cause! We’re also going to have all our merch available, so if you want to pick up some CxH swag come out! All the profits from our sales go to Terry. Spread the word!!! Do it for Joshey!

Umnitza Store Feature
Umnitza, (pronounced Umn-It-Za) is an automotive lighting specialist shop. They mainly focus on Euro cars, specifically Bmw. Thankfully they don’t strictly handle Bmw’s, so fellow CxH photographer Raul Gomez and I were able to pick up a bunch of lights for our Accords. We took a trip down to their actual warehouse in Concord and they were able to help us out with figuring what bulbs we needed with great service.

Shop Spotlight: Kyoei-USA
Kyoei-USA is much more than your average tuning shop. It is owned by none other than Jin Ueno and staffed by Ceasar Luna and Matt Bagwell. This place is a mecca to all that is VIP. As soon as you walk in the door you feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s collection of VIP goodies. Junction Produce, Aimgain, SSR, Air Runner, Superstar (Leon Hardiritt) Wheels you name it, it’s in there. Oh yeah, Nearly every single issue of VIPCAR magazine fill the bookshelves. You could spend the whole day hungrily eyeing the beautiful cars which I have done many times, but if you did you would miss out on all the other amazing things surrounding you.
Apple Now Selling Unlocked GSM iPhone 4!
For all of you who are looking for an unlocked iPhone 4 to be used on a carrier OTHER than AT&T, just a couple days ago, Apple FINALLY released the unlocked iPhone in the 
US. Prior to this release, those who wanted one had to go through the back door and do a software unlock or dish out pocket change for a turbo sim that ranged from $30 to almost $100. Now there is no need to do those things anymore!

On Monday,
reported that rumors and rumblings from around the Apple world suggested the company would begin selling unlocked iPhone 4′s beginning Wednesday. As it turned out, however, Apple pulled the trigger even sooner than anyone expected, making the unlocked GSM iPhone 4 available early this morning through the company’s online store.
This reality comes just hours after one of Twitter’s most reliable Apple tipsters, @Chronic dished that “unlocked iPhones headed to Apple Stores for Wednesday: MC603 (16GB, Black) MC604 (16GB, White) MC605 (32GB, Black) MC606 (32GB, White).” The 16GB and 32GB versions are now available on Apple’ online store for $649 and $749, respectively. No international shipping is currently offered.
“If you don’t want a multiyear service contract or if you prefer to use a local carrier when traveling abroad,” Apple says, “the unlocked iPhone 4 is the best choice. It arrives without a micro-SIM card, so you’ll need an active micro-SIM card from any supported GSM carrier worldwide.”Although this marks the first time Apple has made unlocked iPhones available in the US, it’s old hat in Europe, where Apple has been selling unlocked iPhones for quite some. One year ago, Apple made some progress toward today’s new reality by starting to sell iPhones at list price, although they weren’t unlocked.
So there you have it. It is possible to find the unlocked iPhone on Apple’s website…only for $649 for the 16 GB and $749 for the 32 GB. It comes in both Black and White.
