Throwback Thursday l VIP LS400

In today’s TBT we’re going to take a look back at one of our Arizona features! Courtesy of the infamous Otis Blank. This was a feature of Kyoei-USA’s VIP LS400, which you may have seen if you went to this year’s ToyotaFest in Socal. Always loved the look classy VIP cars! I’d never attempt it though unless I had the money to actually do one proper like this. Just check out those exhaust tips though! The full feature can be found here “This Means Business: Kyoei-USA’s VIP LS400″
SPOCOM: Anaheim 2012 coverage Part 1
photo by Jonathan Yu & RJ Deslate, Words by RJ Deslate, Video (bottom of the post) by Mikey Dang
Hello CxH fans, It is good to be back. After a few months of not blogging due to a very busy schedule at work and some new found hobbies, I’m finally back as efficient as I can. In that note; Jonathan Yu and I would like to present you our 2 part coverage of Spocom 2012 Anaheim held at the Anaheim Convention Center!
Spocom USA has been one of the leading car shows in Southern California is now in a world wide tour and one of their stop was at The Anaheim Convention Center in which I was very excited because of their mission to provide and promote the diverse youth cultures that we have. Did I Also mention this is my first time ever showing my car in a big show?! .. LoL

At the Entrance to the show, one will be greeted by this magnificent display of automotive art and high caliber show cars from team TWC.

Bagged Ford Flex | Domestic VIP
The Ford Flex has always caught my eye, its unlike any other cars on the market. So starting with a car that already gets a great deal with attention gives you an open canvas for creativity in your tuning style. Sam, the owner of this Flex decided to step it up a notch, he bagged it, put a Saleen Body Kit on it and hooked it up with some dope wheels. Now, personally I have never liked chrome wheels, but honestly they look absolutely perfect on this car, I don’t know of any other wheels that would look right on a bagged Flex. Now, everyone knows in the car scene there will always be haters, but at a recent meet when Sam pulled in I didn’t hear a single negative comment, all I heard was a variety of ways to say “Holy Shit!”, etc etc etc I saw more jaws dropping than a dentist see’s in a week. That is something I have never seen before, every time a car pulls in there is always that one guy that yells “Ricer!” or “Get a real car!” etc but not one person had a single negative thing to say when Sam pulled in, EVEN though he rolled in with one side dropped all the way down and the other side lifted up like a gangsta’!
Just Rolling Through
After a Much needed meeting amongst the Norcal Carsxhype Crew, we made a small Excursion to Mike’s house with Ger and Raul. Here is a small snapshot of our cruise on Highway 92.
If any of you are familiar with the body kit company Veilside, you may also be familiar with some of the limited and rare wheels they have produced. Mike tracked down a set of Veilside Andrew Racing V’s for his ride.

Form vs Function ll Mini Feature

When it comes to form vs function it seems like people are very opinionated on the matter. In this feature i bring to you two BMW owners who have two different ways of styling their cars. Marty’s z3 is meant to handle the corners and pull hard, while Harjeet’s 3 series is meant to park hard and break necks. Two different stylings, two very good looking outcomes.
714 Tires: A Shop You Can Trust
Perhaps one of the most important and overlooked parts of being a tuner is having access to a shop you can TRUST. Go to any local shop in your neighborhood with your slammed car and I guarantee you they will run for the hills. Most shops absolutely despise working on modified cars and some won’t even work on them at all. After leaving the shop, unserviced, shop owners will even talk trash on your car and the whole modified car scene all together. In a world where people like us are rejected by mainstream mechanics, it’s nice to come to a place where you and your car can feel at home.
Pic of the Day.

Just thought I’d leave this here
. Just did a re-edit of a photo from Harjeet’s feature. If you haven’t seen the feature you should definitely check it out here. Something different from the norm of the VIP scene. The car has definitely come a long way from this feature. Check out the lastest pix of it in my last post. Relay for Life.
Relay for Life Carshow

This past weekend Relay for Life held their first carshow in Tracy. CxH of course had to be there, we’re a big supporter of finding cures for cancer. The show was a great way to raise awareness and it was a pretty good turnout! There were cars and bikes from all different scenes; jdm, euro, muscle, old school, etc. Enough talk, your here to see the cars right?

PreWekfest Meet

So we at carsxhype.com wanted to throw a meet before Wekfest so we could meet some new people, chill out, drink some coffee and get hyped up for Wekfest! It turned out to be a huge success. About 300 cars rolled in throughout the night. Some local cars, some showcars in Wekfest this year, some cars even coming all the way from LA! Insane. Check out the photos.
