Michael Pama's 1.8T Golf MK4. Air'd out in the Las Vegas atmosphere

Michael Pama’s 1.8T Golf MK4. Air’d out in the Las Vegas atmosphere. You may also notice the cheezy watermark, that shows how old this photo is.. Also whats that on the rear windshield?..

In todays TBT I bring you back to 2012 with our 3-part weekend event coverage of Wuste 2012!! If you dont already know what Wuste is, it is the biggest Euro event on this side of western states. Its as CxH author Michael Kolonoff claims “an epic gathering of Euro cars that takes place on the Las Vegas Strip”. If you missed out on Wuste last year (like I did.. :/) or never heard of it, definitely make sure you check it out this year! Its a drive if you’re out here in the Bay but its a well worth drive to see one of the biggest and most organized car gatherings you’ll ever experience. “for many it’s a chance to brush shoulders with industry leaders and internet famous cars and their owners” – M. Kolonoff. Check out our 3part coverage!

15 The camo sticker you see on the back of Mike’s Mk4 is one of CarsxHype’s rarest and most exclusive stickers. A lot of our viewers have probably never seen this sticker. If you have one of these exclusive camo stickers you’re pretty bad@$$! There was only a VERY limited run on these and they were released just in time for Wuste.

Simply stated, the ground is too high.

It seems nowadays that Southern California cars have been taking the scene by storm. There are lots of shows and events for crews to come out to. When you combine this with exposure on forums, facebook, tumblr and many other media sites the scene becomes saturated with the same cars. The Northern California circuit is much different. This collection of rides comes straight from the SF Bay. I am proud to present to you some of the cars of my personal friends. We were graced by our Tucson correspondent Otis who was in Norcal for the weekend at Pebble beach. I called Mike, Dom, Carl, and Calvin to participate in some photoshoot shennanigans with Otis!

First up is Dom’s BMW E36, Dom is 100% Euro to the core. He is so Euro that he was born in Poland. Dom’s style is nothing short of immaculately clean. I have never seen his car dirty once in my life, and I see him pretty frequently. His car sits static on custom Broadway Static edition Fortune Auto coiliovers with some uber rare BBS Bugatti wheels.

Wuste Las Vegas 2012 Coverage: Part 3 The Main Shebang!

Wuste Las Vegas is what you make of it. To some it’s a non-stop weekend long party, to others its a chance to catch up with old friends, and for many it’s a chance to brush shoulders with industry leaders and internet famous cars and their owners. To me Wuste was a mixture of all three and one epic adventure I’ll never forget. I cant quite remember who said it, but Wuste is just full of good people. For those of you who don’t know, Wuste is an epic gathering of Euro cars that takes place on the Las Vegas Strip (Well only a couple blocks away) I’ll take you through a journey of the main show event day!

The cars began rolling in to stage for the show. This MK4 and MK6 Jetta Wagon are posted up at the Winn VW booth. We actually cruised past these guys on the highway on our way to Las Vegas from SF.

Wuste Las Vegas Coverage Pt. 2 : Day One

One of the defining characteristcs of Wuste Festival, is that it is full of clean cars and good people. For this reason, one of the first stops after our 600 mile drive was a well deserved bug cleansing with some of the best folks around! The Wuste app which was created for the event goers to use over the weekend actually directed us to a nearby low car friendly car wash. This was just the beginning of an epic day!

Wuste Coverage Pt.1: Driving Through The Night

I would like to preface this post by thanking Michael Pama, Carl Malolot, and Pablo Marx for driving from 9pm to 7am straight through SF to Vegas. Paige and Roxanne totally slept through this ordeal. Just kidding, Roxanne actually did a solid job navigating for us and bringing us to our destination as well as taking some really nice rolling shots.

Fueled by 91 octane gas, Hello Panda chocolate snacks, and really lame jokes, we set off for Las Vegas. Our lineup consisted of Mike’s 1.8T Golf MK4, Carl’s 1.8T Jetta MK4, and Pablo’s Turbo E36 M3. We decided to leave in the middle of the night to avoid the harsh desert heat.

In commemoration of this joyous adventure, we at Carsxhype printed a limited edition Wuste sticker. Mike was given the honors of being the first to receive it.

Looking mighty good on that rear hatch glass.

Hello Annie: 63 VW Bug

Owning a car is like being in a relationship, it is a never ending cycle. Both parties have to work together in order for things to go smoothly, if the owner takes care of the car, the car will in return take care of it’s owner. Before a relationship of any sort begins, the hardest step has to take place first, which is called the “search”. Everyone is in the search of the “right” one and some of us may find that right one, and some of us won’t, fortunately for John he did and by no means is his find perfect, Annie is his 1963 VW Bug work in progress.

The New Volkswagen Golf “Style” by Karl Lagerfeld

“Karl Lagerfeld is one of Germany’s most famous cultural exports, alongside Volkswagen. The two brand names pair up for this TV commercial to highlight VW’s new Style package for the popular Golf model. Who would have thought we would have seen Karl Lagerfeld in a car commercial, let alone one with a comedic theme.” – [Slamxhype]
